This is the first run, in the order Billyng asks for it. Most shops are billing within a few minutes.
1. Create your account
Create an account with your email and your WhatsApp number. Billyng sends a code to each — one proves the email is yours, the other the number — and you choose a password. The free plan needs no card.
If the email and number already have a Billyng account (say, from the desktop app), you’ll be asked for that account’s password instead.
2. Add your GST number
Enter your GSTIN and the name you trade under. Billyng checks that the GSTIN is a valid one. Your invoice numbering for this GST number starts here.
Have more than one registration? Add the others later from Settings → GST numbers.
3. Add a product
Name, purchase price, and your margin — the selling price follows (or set it yourself). Each product carries its own CGST, SGST and IGST rates, so a bill can mix items taxed at different rates.
Already have a product list in a spreadsheet? Settings → Import takes a CSV and shows you what it will add before saving anything.
4. Bill a customer
Add products to the cart, choose or add the customer, and Issue. Billyng:
- gives the invoice the next number,
- charges CGST + SGST or IGST from the two state codes,
- lowers your stock,
- and files the bill in the customer’s khata.
5. Share it
Send the PDF by email or WhatsApp, now or at a time you choose, or print it.
Where to bill from
- The desktop app bills offline and is where most shops work at the counter.
- The browser has the same screens, online, from any computer — open Billyng.
- The phone app shows bills, stock and customers and shares them.
